Just in time for the busy end-of-year holiday period, Wind Mobile is reportedly set to launch a special $44 per month plan that offers unlimited long-distance calling in Canada and the US.
Mobile Syrup reports that the plan is scheduled to go live on November 7. Called the Cross-Canada Plan, the offer is being billed as a special holiday-season promotion, so it’s likely that Wind will only run it for a limited time.
The Cross-Canada Plan gives customers unlimited calls Canada-wide and unlimited US long distance calls, as well as unlimited text and MMS messaging within both countries.
The plan also includes unlimited international texts, unlimited data and a $10 service credit each month. Service credit can be rolled over and accumulated month-to-month, and can be used to make international and domestic roaming calls and texts on Wind’s Away network partners, as well as for roaming data.
Away roaming rates are 15c per minute for calls and 5c for texts within the US and Canada, and 5c per MB of data. International rates vary between countries but can be found at Wind’s website.
Wind also offers a $15 per month unlimited US roaming add-on for its other plans, which includes unlimited data, talk, texts and MMS in Canada and the US.
