More About Rogers

Rogers Wireless is a wireless service provider headquartered in Toronto and provides service across the entire country of Canada. Rogers Wireless launched Canada’s first and only GSM wireless network in 2001. Currently, as of the end of 2015, Roger Wireless is Canada’s largest wireless carrier with almost 10 million member subscribers.

Rogers was the first 3G HSPA network in Canada, launched in 2006. HSPA was cutting edge technology and achieved advanced download and upload speeds. 3G technology with Rogers Wireless provides consumers with download speeds of up to 21Mbps.

Aside from 2G and 3G, Rogers has augmented their network quality and speeds by introducing LTE (Long Term Evolution). Rogers was the first Canadian carrier to announce LTE services for greater speed and reliability. Rogers has since expanded their LTE coverage to over 90% of the Canadian population.

Rogers Wireless stays current with the newest phones and wireless devices. Customers are able to select the operating system they desire, whether it be Android, iOS, or Blackberry. Choose phone brands like Apple, HTC, LG and Samsung. Purchasing outright or via monthly finance payments are available – you can also bring your own phone and port your current number to Rogers.

Travel add-ons are available and range from simply talk & text up to large data packages with unlimited talk & text for Canada, US and further afield.
