Why Choose SaskTel?

SaskTel is a regional cell phone carrier owned by the Government of Saskatchewan. The carrier's plans operate on its own network, which covers most of the province. In our guide to the best SaskTel plans, we found that SaskTel offered affordable plans, generous data allotments, and great options for families, along with a solid phone selection. SaskTel is a strong option for value-conscious consumers looking for an alternative to the Big Three.

SaskTel Coverage

SaskTel is a regional carrier focused on Saskatchewan and operating on its own 5G and 4G LTE networks. SaskTel customers who travel outside of Saskatchewan will still be covered through partner networks, but their speeds will likely be throttled. Check out our guide to wireless coverage in Canada to see which major network has the strongest footprint near you.

Switching to SaskTel

Switching to SaskTel is simple—and you can even keep your phone number.

If you want to grab a new phone with your new plan, SaskTel offers plenty of deals for new activations. If you prefer to bring your own phone to the network, SaskTel will reward you with a big monthly discount. If you visit one of the carrier's stores or authorized retailers, they'll even handle the activation of the device for you.
