Videotron is a Quebec-focused carrier, but it has coverage across Canada using Rogers' network. Its customers benefit from multi-line discounts and yearly bonus data. Because of its Quebec roots, the Videotron network covers much of the province and provides 5G coverage to urban centres like Montreal and Quebec City.

The best Videotron plan for most people is the 35GB All-Inclusive Canada-US Plan, which offers data, talk, and text at a reasonable cost. We also love the 55GB All-Inclusive Canada-US Plan, which is a great choice for power users, and the 9GB Canada Plan, which is great for students and seniors.

Read on to find the best Videotron plans right now.

How we picked the best Videotron plans

  • Price & value
We ensured you’re getting the most bang for your buck without sacrificing on the essentials to keep you connected.
  • High-speed data
We looked at whether the amount of guaranteed “premium” data was reasonable for the plan price and flagged if you’re being overcharged for data you likely don’t need.
  • Coverage & network reliability
We evaluated each carrier’s nationwide 4G LTE and 5G coverage to predict your service quality (no dropped calls allowed!).
  • Plan extras and perks
If you get free Netflix or a hefty hotspot, we factored those in relative to the cost of the plan.

Best Overall
Videotron Plan

Videotron
5 out of 5 overall

35GB All-Inclusive Canada-US Plan | $60/month

  • Pros: 35GB of full-speed 5G data, 100GB of bonus data
  • Cons: No unlimited data, limited 5G coverage

Our favourite Videotron plan gives you lots of data, great coverage, and a good price. If you bring your own phone, the plan is only $60/month, which is a fantastic deal for this much high-speed 5G data.

If you do want to attach a phone to the plan, Videotron lets you finance some of the best phones on the market, so you’ll have a brand new device to match your new service. You’ll also score unlimited Canada-wide calling and texting. Videotron's network covers much of the country, but you'll use 4G in most places. As a Quebec-focused network, 5G is only available in select urban areas of the province.

Not only does this plan include a 35GB allotment each month, but you’ll also get an extra 100GB for the year to alleviate some data anxiety.

Best Premium
Videotron Plan

Videotron
4.5 out of 5 overall

55GB All-Inclusive Canada-US Plan |  $65/month

  • Pros: 55GB of full-speed 5G data
  • Cons: 5G coverage is limited

Power users and mobile professionals will love the freedom that comes with this option. It’s also a great choice for those who often use their phone as a hotspot. The plan is just $70/month and gives you 55GB of monthly data, 100GB of bonus data to use throughout the year, and unlimited Canada-wide calling and text messaging.

You can scroll to your heart's content in all of your favourite apps like Twitter and Facebook or spend your afternoons catching up on Disney+’s Ms. Marvel. Even YouTube and Twitch live streams won’t use all your data. It's always good to keep an eye on your usage, but you have plenty of headroom with this plan.

Best Basic
Videotron Plan

Videotron
4 out of 5 overall

9GB Canada Plan | $39/month

  • Pros: Good balance of price and features, ideal for seniors or younger students
  • Cons: Cheaper options with flankers

While Videotron's specialty is providing lots of data, they have some solid cheaper options, too. Their cheapest option is this plan, which offers unlimited Canada-wide calling and texting for just $39/month. It’s a particularly strong buy for students and seniors who don’t need the large data allotments available on the other Videotron options.

The 9GB Canada Plan also features 10GB of bonus data each year, just in case you exceed your 10GB limit in any given month. Given that most people don't use more than 6GB of data each month, this 10GB won't be necessary for everyone, but it provides peace of mind when the bill comes. With your 9GB data allotment, you can check social media and emails without issue, but you'll want to avoid watching too many videos on Netflix.

Methodology: How WhistleOut rates cell phone plans

WhistleOut evaluates phone plans based on the following criteria:

  • Price & value: Not all cheap plans are “bad,” and not all expensive plans are worth it. We look at everything a plan includes and compare it to other plans from the same carrier, as well as similar plans from competitors in the market, to determine whether the value is consistent with the price.
  • High-speed data: Also called “premium” data, this is how much data you get at full 4G/5G speeds before they can or will slow down. The more guaranteed high-speed data the plan includes, the better experience you’ll generally have—but there’s also usually a limit to how much you actually need, and we ensure that you’re not overpaying for data that will go unused.
  • Coverage & network reliability: The breadth of each carrier’s 4G LTE and 5G networks determines your reception and service. Particularly in the case of 5G, some carriers offer far more robust coverage than others, which affects how their phone plans perform in different parts of the country.
  • Plan extras and perks: In addition to the basics—talk, text, and data—some plans throw in freebies like hotspot allowances, cloud storage, entertainment subscriptions, or service discounts.

Our mobile experts leveraged proprietary data and real-world customer feedback to evaluate the best Videotron plans. We considered plan-specific elements, including perks, premium data allowances, and mobile hotspot allocations. After performing hands-on testing and extensive research, including customer feedback, we picked the plans we feel meet the needs of most people.
