Fido Deal: Save Money on BYO and Phone Plans

WhistleOut
24 November 2015

Currently, you can save $6 per month on Fido plans 1GB and larger in most provinces for both BYOP and phone-included plans. That comes to a cool $144 over the two years of a standard contract.

Right now the deal appears to have no set end date, which could mean it'll dry up soon, or run along indefinitely.

BYO Phone plans

Fido is probably better-known for its contract-free month-to-month plans, that offer no included phone but feature affordable per-month pricing.

Remember, if you're bringing your own phone to Fido from another network, you may need to unlock your cell phone before proceeding. Make sure you check if your device is eligible for unlocking before making any commitments to a new carrier.

Need a new phone?

If you're after a new handset, Fido has a pretty decent range of cell phones, including the iPhone 6s, Samsung Galaxy S6 and LG G4, among many others. You can buy these outright and go with one of the above BYOP plans, or you can pick one up on a subsidized 2-year contract.
