MTS has changed its tagline to “We’re with you.” The move is part of a new customer-focused scheme. As Manitoba’s major local provider, MTS seems to be taking a “neighbours look out for each other” approach to marketing.
Fair enough. MTS, whether you’re a customer or not, is great for Manitobans. Thanks to the competition it brings, the province enjoys significantly lower-cost cell plans that any other, with the exceptions of Saskatchewan and Quebec.
With so much good karma under its belt, the plucky state-run carrier should probably be allowed to push itself as the friendly local option. Is there such a thing as “the carrier next door”?
