The Sony Tablet S made a relatively small impact upon its release some months ago. Its intriguing form-factor and PlayStation certification sounded like they could be enough to give it a considerable consumer base, however, once all was said and done the Tablet S sold well, but not impressively.

Many suspected that the blame lay in part with the Tablet’s lack of 3G support, only offering WiFi connectivity to its users.

Well, as of yesterday Sony is releasing a new 3G enabled version of the Sony Tablet S 16GB. The good news for WiFi customers is that means the 16GB and 32GB WiFi only version are dropping in price around the 15th of February.
