When you bring your own phone to TELUS, you’ll need to complete the activation process in order to enjoy your new service. You need to have a few things together to start service:

  • IMEI number on your phone
  • TELUS SIM card/number (buy one online or in-store first)
  • Two forms of ID (drivers license, passport, credit card, etc)

The first thing you’ll need to do is locate your device’s IMEI number. This number is needed when you call TELUS to complete activation. To locate the IMEI number, open the dialer and dial *#06#. You can also find the IMEI in your phone settings.

Assuming you have your new TELUS SIM Card and two forms of ID on hand, simply contact TELUS to finalize activation.
